The East Valley Art Guild will be
offering this event during the summer. The event was
planned for May, but was postponed due to an unscheduled youth
basketball tournament conflict. We will notify the Guild
members of the new date this
month. | |
 |
Greetings,
The East Valley Art Guild has
been working behind the scenes to bring some wonderful
new art events to the East Valley. The new Mesa
RiverView ArtWalk is set to kick off next month in
the theater district at Mesa
RiverView Center, plus other outstanding venues
are in the works, including the events in
Gilbert, Tempe and a second big arts event in
Mesa.
Some of you may know that I write, not just the art
blog on azcentral, but magazine articles for major
publications. This month is a milestone because I have
six articles published this month in
California and Arizona magazines. One publisher runs my
features / articles in 14 magazines in California.
Recent articles include an interview with Susan Kramer,
Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art Director, Valerie Vadala-Homer,
Director of the Scottsdale
Public Art program, this months Guild meeting speaker,
artist Roberta Kritzia, Dennis Power, President of
Laguna College of Art and Design in California, and
artist Desi Costanza. Watch for my articles locally in
the Scottsdale's Best Magazine, The Chandler Now
Magazine, The North Valley Magazine, and next month in
the West Valley Magazine. All articles are placed on my
web site in PDF format for reading.
Enjoy the newsletter, and join us at an arts event
or one of our Guild meetings.
